My Summer Accessories

If you are on a hunt for some great sandals this summer, look no further.

These Lois sandals are so comfy and cute!

Here's a tip, if you are in between sizes I'd go a 1/2 size down. These sandals definitely stretch out, so starting a little snug might help.

So, I had my eye on these totes for awhile, and I finally got one. Chip and Joanna Gaines' collection at Target is so adorable.

The canvas and leather blend so well, and the bag is really lightweight. It fits my enormous laptop, and it's got 3 pockets inside for stashing cards, keys, and your phone. I wish it was available online, but I think there are still a few more in stores.

Finally, these cat eye sunnies are from Old Navy. I also have a well-loved pair of sunglasses from Kohl's! They are a less extreme cat eye shape, but are still gorgeous.

Sadly, I don't have a link for you, dear readers. But you can swing by a store with your gal pal and try 'em on.

That Festival Feeling

This week has been a touch of insanity sprinkled with one of my favourite things. I am finishing up a show in Roanoke, and then I can breathe again. I absolutely love being a costume designer, but the stress is real.

These babes knocked this shoot out of the park. I mean, just look at them. So gorgeous! And, as always, Amanda's photos are spectacular.

Both of their outfits (excluding accessories) came entirely from Target. They are totally affordable and absolutely adorable. So, I am gonna break down their outfits below.

Lil is stunning in gold, so she's wearing this adorable tank paired with these super soft Universal Thread jeans and a floral kimono that I found on the clearance rack.

Yancy is so elegant in this white kimono! Then she's got a basic white t-shirt tucked into these amazing floral pants, and she's wearing a pair of slide sandals.

Outfitting Our Outdoors

I was procrastinating on Monday. So, naturally, I went to Target. And I was pretty dang excited to find some patio chairs, so we can sit out on our porch!

Honestly, I think I've been wanting outdoor furniture since 2011. So, it was about time.

I found these chairs in the patio section, and they came home with me. ☺️

I don't even feel that bad, because I've wanted something to sit on for so long, and I feel a little like we were wasting our view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains from our little porch.

If you're wanting to snag some chairs of your own, here's a link to these Threshold stackable chairs. I got them in Tan, but there are lots of colours. If you use the code DEAL, you'll get 10% off which makes them $17.10 right now. Target for the win.

I also grabbed this little table yesterday to house our coffee.

I'll try to get some more photos up after this weekend since costuming is my life right now.

Gray and White Jumpsuit

The sunshine has been so lovely this spring. We hurried out before sunset a few days ago, and snagged some photos of this lightweight summer jumpsuit.

I am also excited to announce that I've partnered with some companies like Target and Amazon, and will be using affiliate links on my blog! In layman's terms, that means if you're really digging my outfits, you can follow my links to make your purchases, and it helps me make a commission as a blogger. If you ever have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message in "Let's Chat" or comment on my post. You guys are the best, and I am excited to start blogging more and growing this thing!

This gray and white jumpsuit is super lightweight, with a cute square pattern. Since I'm a fairly tall gal (almost 5'7"), it hit just below the knee on me. I'd recommend this jumpsuit for any shorter ladies out there looking for a mid-calf or longer length.

I paired it with my favorite block heels, and here is a link to the latest version of them.

Flowers & Friendship

A few weeks ago, Amanda and I did an adorable photoshoot at Aylor's garden center in Forest, VA. We had a beautiful sunny morning, adorable florals, and these two babes were incredible models.

I am so excited to share these with you, and even though their outfits aren't available online, I've linked some super cute alternatives! Enjoy!!

Yancy is in a beautiful Corby Crochet Floral Jumpsuit from Francesca's with a long tassel necklace. This AMAZING navy jumpsuit is no longer online, but I'll keep an eye out for it in case it comes back!

Here are some other adorable floral jumpsuits that I've found.

1. Esme Ruffle Mock Tie Waist Jumpsuit

2. Red Off-The-Shoulder Jumpsuit

3. Floral Ruffle Jumper

Lily is in a gorgeous floral dress with a yellow and blue pendant necklace, both from Francesca's. The green print is not available online, but they've got it in a new yellow fabric that's gonna be so big this season! You can find it online here.

Francesca's is one of the best places to find dresses and jumpsuits!

I'd suggest perusing their website for that killer spring dress. You may even see one of these beauties hanging on the sale rack at their nearest brick and mortar store.

The Blue Ridge Mountains

Virginia really is beautiful. I have never seen a greener landscape, and the sunsets over the Blue Ridge Mountains are a pretty amazing sight.

I had the perfect photo in mind for this dress. Blue skies, chiffon blowing in the wind, and deep green fields, so Forest, VA was the spot. The problem is, almost every photo Logan took was too good not to share. (I've got a skilled photographer on my hands, and a stunning dress from a local boutique.) So, please enjoy these photos of my favorite dress in front of our beautiful blue ridge mountains.

The last time I checked, they still had a few of these dresses left. So, if you haven't gone to Live Trendy or Die yet, you need to! My earrings are no longer available online, but there are so many cute new ones from Francesca's,  and here is this year's version of my shoes from Target.

Little Black Dresses

We went camping in Shenandoah National Park this weekend with a good friend of ours. It was the first time we took our little dog (Mr. Baggins) camping, and we all took turns keeping him in line. Teamwork makes the dreamwork.

We had a great time hiking, but it is so good to be home and showered.

I can't find this little number anymore, but I've found a couple of cute black dresses if you're wanting to find a spring and summer staple. Ruffles and wraps are so in this spring, and these two dresses are adorable.

1. Ruffled Wrap Cami Dress

2. Colie Ruffle Wrap Dress

The Market

The Lynchburg Community Market has been one of my favourite places for years. Good coffee, delicious crêpes, and homemade pasta are some of the reasons why I love this place.

Amanda and I did a photoshoot with Lily down at the market this past weekend, and we had so much fun! Please enjoy the florals and photos. Outfit details below.

Lily wore this light wash denim distressed jean from Kohl's paired with this beautiful mustard tank. On top, she wore this floral kimono wrap from Target. For accessories, I added these earrings and this pendant necklace from Francesca's.

Valentine's Date Idea

It can be hard to come up with a date idea. They don't always need to be an extravagant dinner or a fancy event, but it's nice to get all dressed up to go out on a date, especially for Valentine's Day!

Logan and I are regulars at our local coffee shops, and sometimes they are the best spots for a little date. You can grab a drink or muffin and chat about life. That's what I call a great date.

We took our besties out for a photoshoot at The Bean Tree on a rainy Saturday morning. I was inspired by this cute dress I found for Lauren, and since it's the season of love, we found a spiffy outfit for Ray too. I am loving the way these photos turned out. Enjoy!

HIM || Ray is wearing a denim short sleeved button down with black pants and light brown lace up shoes.

HER || Lauren's wearing this adorable black lace dress, a bow belt, matching floral jewelry, and coral heels.
